The book field; scope; site is part of the artistic research project TELE SCOPE, funded by the Swedish Research Council (2016–02291). The project was led by Emma Nilsson, architect and senior lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, Lund University and I participated in the project as a co-researcher.

In the foreword to field; scope; site; Emma Nilsson refers to Landskrona Idrottshall (designed by Arne Jacobsen, 1965) as an objective to conduct a series of investigations, where photography is explored as a method for architectural thinking and making, and she defines the book not as a documentation but as a reinterpretation into the spatial logic of the book, creating a photographic space with its own chronology and chorology.

My research focused on the question ”How to allow for various photographic voices, originating from different contexts with distinctive purposes, to not merely co-exits but to actually be in active conversation with each other in the format of a printed book?” Through critical bookmaking, the aim was to investigate and reflect the manifold concepts that Landskrona Idrottshall represents, being an international architectural icon, a sports centre, and a space for local events.

The final materialization of my research is a stapled sandwich constructions that allows for pages of different formats and paper qualties to create encounters between different photographic perspectives. The different papers and various printing techniques are chosen in reference to the original context of the images: exhibition catalogue, newspaper, process imagery, architectural magazine. The material choices highlights the inherent hierarchies between the different genres of photography represented.
