Dissecting – As a method in micro-utopianism

A project about applying dissection as a method in design. This was developed and practiced together with a group of participants in Ytterjärna.

The purpose was to explore what might be hidden underneath, between or inside an object, but also to find connections and relationships between several ones. It may be used to criticise material, power structures and hierarchies but more so to explore opportunities for better futures, using the power of imagination. Further on, this method was applied as a way to address micro-utopian practices and to evoke the ‘Utopian Impulse’, the fundamental will to change.
