Re, a design exhibition about change and transformation
Kulturparken Småland and Linnaeus University proudly present the degree projects from our three international design programs: Design + Change BA, Visual Communication + Change BA and Design + Change MA.
The future of things is built every day by the way we see, think and deal with current matters. It is something always applied, always repeated.
Re is a critical response, a process, and a mindset about making again, a repetition, a repositioning, a regeneration. Re acts as a link for theoretical and topical frameworks within each of our works and repositionings of design as a response to current practices and perspectives. Re is a way to show the reworking of things, ideas and concepts, showing that our work is accumulative, building, transforming, reiterating and reappropriating what has been; our cycles of thought, behaviour, and practice.
As a compilation of final works, we as creators are responding to our collective need for change. Covering a diverse range of topics, each of our projects introduces choreographies for the everyday practice of world making and refocuses attention on marginalised issues, taken-for-granted systems or forgotten ways of being in the world.
